A historic win for Birmingham City Korfball Club began with a 2.5 hour journey to Croydon. After last year’s tight loss in the Champions Trophy, BCKC wanted to fight for their first National League points. From the first whistle, Birmingham showed that they were keen to work for it. The team played well together, which resulted in a comfortable lead at half time. Birmingham was controlling the match and didn’t give it away the second half. The girls have shown an excellent performance, with scoring in total 13 out of 20 goals. In particular Beth Phillips and Sara Roberts produced some stunning korff. With a final win of 14-20, the first National League points are reality!
